MK III question

Is it OK to dry fire my MK III? The book is silent on this point, but tells me to 'uncock' it, (dropping the firing pin on an empty chamber), during several operations it explains.

??

cut n paste from the mark III manual pg 20

5. With the muzzle pointed in a safe direction, push the safety to the "off" (F)
position and pull the trigger to decock the pistol. The pistol can be dry fired as
long as the firing pin stop is in place (see NOTE in step 5 on page 25

I read, and REread that WHOLE manual three times..... Just so I wouldn't get embarassed. Oh well.

As they say: "When all else fails, read the manual". But I DID!!!

hahahahah...i know how you feel!

i have read on the boards it's ok, but when i got mine, i went through the book just to make sure.
