when I was cleaning my P90 last week I noticed the bottom of the slide were the barrel comes thru was wearing. there is gauling at the bottom & the front edge has a sharp edge. I called Ruger in Prescott & they told me as long as the gun is not jamming there should not be a problem. I will probibly take a trip up to Prescott to let them look at it but the hole in the barrel part of the slide is oval. has any one heard of this happening & can there be a bushing that can be installed to help the wear problem???
This is my everyday carry, and have put about 6000 round threw her & have never had any problems with her.
Can anyone HELP!
I can take pic's & post them .

The barrel opening in the slide has to be slightly eliptical to allow the barrel to index with the slide as it moves. The degree of the elipse and any galling is the issue. It sounds like a trip to Prescott is advisable.

The galling is an issue. I liked to stay at the Hassayampa Inn in Prescott, but have not been there for a couple years, so maybe it has changed.
