I think there is pricing in the catalogs. If you ask Ruger will send them if they still got them and do that.

I really like the P-guns with the REM finish and they only made those in 95 if memory serves. Called and they sent me one for my files. I do think pricing is there but can't be 100% sure right now.

Hi Terel89. I'm not sure it will answer all your questions but I do have a video out on the P-series. My youtube name is TomD Gunnery. If that video doesn't cover the prices (it's been a few months since I did it) just let me know what you are looking for as I have just about all of the catalogs from that time. I'd be happy to look prices up for you.

Here is a link to my video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RqnF_TvC-Vw

If that does not work, try looking me up under TomD Gunnery on YT. Hope it helps!

CDNN was closing out the P95DC for $289.00 when I bought one.

P series hasn't done well in the resale market. Saw a pretty nice P89 with 2 mags for sale last week for $225.00!

Hi tercel89. Here's what I find in the catalogs and from digging.

P85 - "85" was meant to be the year of release, they didn't release it until mid87. The first reference I find is in a 1986 flyer but not the 1986 catalog. Unfortunately in those days they did not include prices in the catalog. This timing may help you with digging up articles from that time. I'm fairly sure I've seen old Ruger price lists on eBay before. Maybe try that.

Since I have these catalogs out now...
The first catalog where I find Sugg Retail prices is the 1993 one. By then the P85 was done and the price list shows P89 thru P93. Here are some examples:
P89 $410.00
KP89 $452.00
KP90/91 $488.65
KP93 $452.00

The 1993 catalog is fun for Pseries collectors because it has two premature mistakes. First, it lists the P89 Convertible (9mm & 30 Luger) as the P88x ($497). Second, it lists my favorite P93 completely wrong. They show it with the zytel grip (think P95) and the dimensions of the P93 are all wrong.

1994-96 catalog prices all match 1993 except the P93 variations are now $520 as are the new P94's

1997 intros the P95 at $351 and KP95 at $369.

1998 lowers the P93 and P94 down to $421.50 while leaving the KP versions of those at $520.

1999 intros the P97 at $460 and changes the price on just about every other Pgun and they keep changing pretty much annually after that.

Finally, 2005 they announce the new P345 starting at $513 up to the KP versions at $548.

Hope this helps! TomD

I liked the "P" series. Seems like they did what Sig P pistols did for less money. Problem is that they are out of production and service and parts are not available. However Sig is operating in the same way, discontinuing and deleting models frequently.

Some parts and service are available IF you send your gun back to Ruger CS in prescott,AZ. Their supply of parts are limited, but I have first hand knowledge that at least a year or 2 ago,I had my P944 mag latch repaired and new RSA installed.
There is a seemingly neverending supply of used parts on Ebay too.

I've got a few of the KP series....durable and reliable.. KP89, KP90, KP93, KP94, KP944 barely and one never used, all sitting as safe queens at present. I've managed to get a bunch of mags for them as well. I don't want to give them or mags away.....so I will keep em til needed. But I wouldn't mind cutting back on a few.... LOL

I always find it strange when folks talk about parts are no longer available... my father was a machinist for almost 50 years.... a gun is nothing more than a machine and the parts were originally made by someone... if you need a part... somebody can make it....

Fixing to let another of my KP95's go... friend wants one....

Edit: I was going to say it is kind of hard to find a manufacturers suggested retail price on a slew of pistols that were made over 20 years or so... but I guess if you know the year it was made then you might could track it down....
