P95 Stuck Slide

P95 318 Series.

In the reassembly stage, ejector in down position and hammer in fired position.
Slide placed onto frame but did not partially insert slide stop. Ejector could have moved to upper position at this time.
Now the only forward or rearward movement of the slide is between the two index marks aligned and one half inch forward.
Hammer can move between cocked and fired. Safe can move from ready to safe. Trigger can function. Can also insert slide stop.
Able to use a wire hook and bring ejector to lower position, but still no additional slide movement.
Explanation clear enough to understand problem, or just send in back to Ruger?

Problem solved. Phone call to Ruger and spoke with a tech and he explained the fix.
I had the right idea, but was pulling down and forward on the ejector, when it required
a strong down and rearward pressure to release the slide. Back in business.

Many of us have been there and done that. Glad you got it worked out.

If you can find a metal coat hanger you can make a special tool to take car of that.... I still have one in my range bag...

metal coat hangers are so useful.....worth keeping around the home for sure!
