Well I Was Cleaning My New ec9s Today. And When I Oiled The Slide And Rails I Slid The Slide On The Frame. To Spread Out The Oil And Then I Heard The Click And Now The Slide Is On The Frame And The Barrel And Recoil Spring Are In The Box. And I've Tried Everything To Get The Slide Off The Frame. Then In The Manuel I Found A Line That Said . Do Not Install Slide On Frame Without Barrel And Recoil Spring Installed. So My Question Is: Is This A Return To Ruger Fix.??? Or Does Someone On Here Now How To Get The Slide Off ?? Thanks For Your Time.

Thanks Cholo, I haven't run into the problem, but it led me to some other good videos.

Yeah, I was going to say just pull the trigger. That's the drill to release the slide on a number of modern semi-autos.

I'd say pull the trigger and give a good whop on the backside.... there's a chance it will let go.

If it does do the same to yourself.
