I'm considering a used P94 in .40 and before I place a bid I'd appreciate knowing if common parts, say the recoil springs assy. needs replacing if they are available. Thanks.

I've sent you a pm. They are extremely tough pistols. In the unlikely event that you need replacement parts, check out Numrich Gunparts corp.

Thanks. I did look @ Numrich and see that they have a 9mm recoil spring assy., but saw none for the 944 .40 model unless they are interchangeable. I don't even know if one can just change the dual springs onto an existing guide or a guy has to get the entire assembly. I have doubts that Ruger still supports parts for these but to be honest I didn't reach out to them.

P guns are towards end of life. Solid metal gun but basically obsolete. You can get a brand new gun pretty cheap now a days.

Good luck,

Also check Wolff Springs. They probably still make spring sets for the P-944 as well as the other P-series pistols.

As far as I know Ruger still supports the P944. I sent mine to Ruger last Jan. for some issues. They replaced the recoil spring assembly along with a few other things. All it cost me was $30. to ship it to them.

I sent mine to Ruger last year for magazine latch spring /recoil springs. They do support them for now. The P944 takes 2 recoil springs(inner/outer). Numrich has them and new recoil guide rods.
Ebay also has many used parts if you get desperate!
BTW these guns are tanks and will outlive both you & me!
