Old thread but there is a reassembly problem with the S-series recoil spring assemblies that can crop up if the parts are not put back together correctly. I think Ruger has a fix for the failure to return problem.

What do you mean by "S-series"? If what I think, it has nothing to do with LC9s models. Also, I would call this a "middle-aged" rather than old thread.
