I finally made it to my FFL to pick up my P89DC that bought off Gunbroker. It appears to have been carried more than it was fired. There's typical carry wear, but extremely little signs of wear on its internals. The 305-xxxxx serial number dates to the first year of P89 production in 1993.

I took it down, and gave it a good cleaning and lube, as it looks like it been sitting unused for years. I hope to make it to the range tomorrow for a work out. I still need to get some full cap mags, as it shipped with a single 10 round.

It will run forever. Not first 89DC style more like 3rd but you'll be happy for sure.

Keep the P-Guns alive!!

To me, the DC's were the best of the P series.

Congrats and welcome to the Forum.

Nice pics too.

Congratulations!
My dad, now 83, says I'll get his P89 when he's ready to pass it down to me. Great pistols that'll last!

If Roylt is right that is probably a good thing.. .the very first P89s used a slightly different magazine.. I've heard Metgar mags will work on both the original and newer ones.... I have one of the first P89s and actually figured out how to modify the pistol to take newer mags... not that hard if you can figure out how to get the mag disconnect pin thingy out....
