I purchased a new LCP ll today and now I'm search...without much luck...for a holster. My wife and I are avid trail runners and want to carry the LCP ll while running. My main concerns will be chafing and how sweat will effect the material. I did a search on this forum and came up empty. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated??

If an LCP II is anything like the LC9.... sweat is going to be a problem... these things like to rust.... I presume oil and more oil or paste and cleaning every time you've run might be the answer.... the magazines like to rust too. I'm thinking some type of zippered or well velcroed pouch would be best but then you still have the problem of it 'flapping'. Since I have not run any where in something like 40 years....that's as far as I can be 'helpful' .....

Check out Alien Gear holsters. Their premium holster uses a stainless steel insert with ballistic nylon and thermo elastic covering and a soft neoprene layer on the skin side. I can't imagine sweat being able to penetrate through to the gun. I have two of them and they are excellent holsters IMO. Very comfortable and stable. They also have adjustable cant, adjustable depth, and adjustable retention.

You will need to wear a good belt to wear the Alien Gear Holsters and some of them are very hard plastic and not comfortable to wear. I know I have about 4 different alien gear holsters and magazine holders.

An alternative might be a breathable 5.11 holster vest with padded pockets where the gun sits in a pocket and reinforced shoulders to hold up the pockets and gun. One slit pocket on each side of the chest. V neck or Crew neck styles.

Still when I think of running I think of gym type shorts and a T shirt, socks and sneakers. Not much else will be worn while running in hot weather. Now if you are running in cold weather that's another story. Still running with a gun on my hip on inside the pants would not seem very comfortable to me.

I can't really recommend a holster but I will recommend giving your gun several coats of Johnson's Paste Wax for protecting the guns finish.

I personally really like the Talon holsters but not sure what would fit your needs. Depending what clothes you wear a wallet holster might work pretty well for you in the rear wallet pocket or front pocket. http://talonholsters.com/talon-ruger-lcp-lcpii-kel-tec-p3at-wallet-holster/

Or you might try one of these.https://www.amazon.com/Bulldog-Cases-Vertical-Holster-Compact/dp/B00BD568Q6/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1510773304&sr=8-2&keywords=bulldog+gun+pouches&dpID=619h%252BZebCyL&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch

I have one of them for the P238 Sig and the LCP fits it great. In fact I have it w/a LCP in my workbench down in my gun room draw.

I also see they have a horizontal type now https://www.amazon.com/Bulldog-Nylon-Phone-Holster-Black/dp/B002HSQHFK/ref=pd_sim_200_4?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=BFQJKK9N3D0CK1R451RA&dpID=51ITS9%252BgWsL&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=detail
