P Series Question

Im a bit confused about something. I read somewhere that a few P89s were made in a 40SW. But some P90s are actually P94s or vice versa. Or some variation. Can someone explain which P series are the 40s?

Well there is the P944

I believe the P91 and P94 (more correctly, the P944) were the only .40 caliber P-guns made.

I'm not an expert but will say, just because you read something (especially on the internet) doesn't make it true..... I've never heard of a 40cal p89 ... as far as I know they were all 9mm.... except that some were sold with an extra barrel and recoil spring that allowed them to to shoot.... 30cal Luger...which is a strange necked down round mostly used in Europe I believe so that citizens in some countries could still own a semi-auto pistol because the standard 9mm is too scary and dangerous there.

I also believe that the above information is correct.

Not too many P series were .40 cal, and I am throwing in with the guys that say the P91 & P944, were about all that were .40 cal.

The P85,P89,P90, and P91 all look identical.(85/89 are 9mm. 90 is 45acp, the P91 was 40caliber.)
The P91 was then replaced by the P94 which came in 9mm and 40 caliber.
The 40 cal versions of the P94 are commonly referred to as P944's.
