Can't believe I did this... has to be a simple answer.

I was cleaning my LC9s and after cleaning and lubing... I put the top slide back on with out the barrel or recoil spring to rack the slide some..when you do this the slide goes back over something and then won't come back off... I can't figure out what is catching it. Any ideas?

in the words of Emily Latella: "Never Mind"

I figure it out... you push the slide back forward and while pushing really hard pull the trigger

Could not have been the magazine disconnect because my 'pro' model does not have one as far as I know...
Don't know what was the catch... but what I did fixed it and I really am not willing to replicated it... was some metal part that moves partially out of the way when the trigger is pulled and you 'force' the slide back forward.
