Gunbroker often has P series and SR series parts kits for sale. If you buy a 40 S&W SR kit, will it fit right on a 9mm frame or do you need to swap out ejector and/or frame internals? Like an answer of the same for P series as well. Thanks to those who know for sure.

At the least you will need a barrel and complete slide. The .40 case's base diameter is larger than the 9 mm so both the breech face and extractor have to be changed to the larger diameter. You will also need the .40's recoil spring and guide rod to handle the greater recoil impulse.

The Europeans are fans of this kind of conversion since owning more than one gun is difficult for them. Here, it's probably easier to get a complete gun in the new caliber.

A subset of that question is can you install the longer SR9 barrel into the SR9C and not affect function? Don
