I am interested in getting another 45 ACP
I run now a fully worked SA1911 always was my go to gun for competition until I got the SR9 to run the way I like it.
I been tossing it around and wonder how many shooters here like the SR45 ?

Great striker fired pistol. Very comfortable to shoot, reliable and accurate. Very hard to beat for the price. Had mine since 2013. No problems whatsoever.

Since you are already into 1911's ...

I'd look for a used Sig 220 for around $500.

Buy the best first .... You'll save a lot of money working your way through the also rans that aren't close.

Since you asked about the SR45.....

Mine has been great! I bought an early 2013 model against my usual "never buy a first model year" recommendations. I have read of some teething problems with the SR45 but mine has been good. I did have a faulty magazine that Ruger replaced for free but other than that its been 100%. Admittedly I have not run it really hard and I just past 1500 rounds down range a few weeks ago.

If you are liking the SR9 it would be a natural for you. I'm actually more accurate with the SR45 than I am with the SR9 or SR40 for whatever reason. It is much larger so perhaps it just fits my hands better. Good luck and let us know if you end up getting one.

If you take Rev's irrelevant advice on a Sig 220 I would recommend an older [pre 2004] example as the new Sigs tend to suck more than their price tag would suggest.

Mine has been trouble-free since buying it new in 2013. 10+1 of .45ACP is pretty reassuring. Very easy to shoot too.
