Anyone have a captured spring/rod assembly for my P89X for the 30 Luger barrel. I am getting the material together to make an assembly but I would like to get an original. I may try the 9mm spring and see if it will fire or just stovepipe

It won't work right with the 9 MM. I'll look, I know I have a few and I'm selling everything P- Series. I know I bought everything Ruger had a few years back.

The 9MM uses a tapered guide rod with an uncaptured recoil spring. The 30 Luger guide rod is not tapered and has a captured recoil spring as you can see in the pic. I have a few set's, 30 Luger barrel/ guide rod, spring. I don't want to break up the set's. I'll look for just the guide rod and spring

depending on the price I'd buy the set from wildturk... nothing wrong with having a spare barrel.

I might even be interested....

I understand the want... but in reality there is no need for a pistol that shoots 30cal luger.

then, I guess it is a neat example of how a gun manufacturer can work around stupid laws.
