Don't you think it's a little early to proclaim that... Given Ruger's track record with SA new releases ? They're barely in the public's hands at this point. I sure wouldn't be a beta tester with my own money. What are you basing that opinion on ? Ruger's press releases ?

There is another theory... Ruger appears to have taken to microsofts product strategy. The are copying a popular product, putting their spin on it, and stamping their brand to it to drive sales... Keeping there eye heavily on their brand to drive sales.

That is an excellent observation. I think you may be in the right direction on that.
By looking at the diagram, its almost exactly spec-per-spec what they (the military) were calling for.
I also find it interesting they didn't chamber one in .40... Is the writing on the walls for the future of that caliber too?
I'll try to post a detailed write-up for this and a range report on my redhawk from last weekend as well. Business is good. It's a good problem to have. Been staying very busy.

Can't take credit for that thought... I knew something was odd, but couldn't put my finger on it. Rev actually initially said that and I had the same response that you did. Now it all made sense. If that is the case, I would expect this to be Very accurate.
I hope sig or that start up beat out beretta for the military trials.

The Ruger, however, also has a changeable grip (one of the MHS requirements)

I hope you're right! I love to see companies introduce a promising product. This is the first gun Ruger has introduced since the P90 that doesn't seem like a total joke...
