Hello.

Can a Ruger LCP .380 pistol be cocked with a round chambered for an extended period of time (1-3 months) with no ill effect?

Would it still be 100% reliable to fire, like a DA revolver?
Have no ill effect of wear on internal parts, as a double action revolver, when left for extended periods of time?

Please pardon me in advance if this question seems rudimentary.
Thanks.

How do you cock an LCP, is it not DAO?

LCP is DAO, but it does partially cock the hammer when racking the slide. That is why it doesn't have double strike capability. Shouldn't be a problem leaving it that was for long periods of time.
