found a P95 9MM a SR9 i have a tight budget trying to find one not so expensive

You can get a 95 model for around 300 proly. the SR would be a touch more.

only place i know is north college hill gun shop for $299 out the door

P95 is tried and true... designed to perfection and then as in most manufacturing once you reach that point you need to quit making that product and design a new one and start over.

So what's the hold up? 299 is a good deal. Ask them to toss in a box of 50 rds. and run to the range.

The P95 is indeed a good pistol but it's been out of production for a while and repair parts, even routine ones like recoil springs, are hard or impossible to find.

Repair parts? I have never replaced a P-gun part unless the previous owner abused it.

For a budget gun the P-series are life long. I still say buy it!

Yes, they are reliable but nothing lasts forever and recoil springs in particular are a routine replacement item, say every 3 to 5000 rounds or so. If you don't plan on using the gun extensively, that P-95 is indeed a good deal. If you do, be aware the P-95 uses a unique recoil spring assembly and no one, not Ruger, not Brownells, not Gun Parts, not Wolff, has them in stock or makes them.

It something to think about.
