Looking at trading my s&w shield for an LCP with Crimson trace laser. It is the older style before they improved the sights and trigger. Is this a wise choice or is there anything I will be missing by going with this version compared to the newer ones.
Thanks

I don't know much about the s&w as I looked at it, only.
I do own a LCP. My LCP is my most carried, with Crimson Trace on it.

Don't know why you left us so quickly but I've got the older style LCP and it's my full time summer carry gun. I love the little guy. Point and shoot. You don't need to aim much.

I can't comment on the shield or the value of your trade, however my older LCP (orginal sights and trigger) has been 100% reliable and my goto gun when my XDs is too bulky.

It has been 100% reliable and plenty accurate for up close and personal encounters.

Wasn't looking for a value on the trade. Wanted to know if the older version of the LCP is better or worse than the newer one. I ended up getting an older engraved model. The trigger is so much better than the new improved version I tried in the store.
