Bought a LC9S to replace my LC9 for conceal carry. Disassembled it to clean and lubricate. Then I did something that I now realize was a mistake. I put the slide back on the frame without barrel or return spring assembly. When I pushed the slide all the way back and then came forward to slide it off the frame it would not come off. I can move the slide back and forth but can not get it off the frame. Any suggestions?

Have you tried inserting your dummy magazine and pulling the trigger to release the striker? I'm fairly certain my LC9s can't be assembled or disassembled with the striker cocked. That's the reason Ruger supplied the orange dummy magazine with the LC9s.

That did the trick!! Thanks! Thought I was going to end up sending it to Ruger.
