LC9S Guide Rod Spring Tension

Wondering if anyone else noticed this. The guide rod spring on my new LC9S is brutally strong. I can barely push it down. Is that how everyone's is?

Mine is fairly stout but I wouldn't call it unusually so for a gun that has to be able to soak up +p recoil with such a short, light slide...

Does the gun operate well? If so t'aint broke. :) Seriously, the ideal spring would be one that is just light enough for the gun to function with your lightest anticipated loads...other than that the stiffer the spring the better because the spring will absorb more recoil and the gun will be less "snappy."

Also, if it's new then it will probably limber up a little with a few hundred rounds through it.
