I recently purchased this holster for my SR9C and I'm sorry to say that I really can't recommend it. My main gripe is the leather thumb brake. It dosen't fit the angle on the back of the pistol and it's loose enough that you can take the pistol out of the holster without unsnapping the TB.

Ya shoulda bought a Mitch Rosen SR9C Custom Leather Holster off of the Ruger website.

I have one for my SR9C with the RUGER Logo and it is by far the best holster I've ever purchased.

And as far as a thumb break is concerned, thumb breaks are old hat and besides, Mitch Rosen Holsters fit the gun so darn well, and are tight n' snug in a rug, so you won't need no "stinkin' thumb break holster".

I have the Mitch Rosen Leather from Ruger- and love it. Great fit, retention is good- and man, the smell of that leather- reminds me of a new saddle.
Oh, if you need a thumb-break this one doesn't have it- but I think he has one that does.

HAZ, the mitch rosen does seem to have a lot of good reviews. I do some things that require some confidence in holster security such as wilderness canoe trips. Loosing your pistol on land is bad; loosing it in deep or fast moving water is permanant!

Snoop....

At least I headed you in the right direction for the perfect SR9C Mitch Rosen holster.

The rest is up to you as to with or without thumb break...

Good luck,

Haz

I was soo close to getting the Mitch Rosen holster like Haz...but I wanted it in black that had a matching magazine holster.

I ended up getting a Desantis mini slide. However you might want to try out this...

It's awesome that Ruger is selling excellent holsters at a decent price.
