Update: Bersa called him back. Said the trigger reset issue is a warranty problem so will be fixing it and getting it back to him soon. Well I want to like these guns. Are they related to metro arms?

I think this is one of those guns you have to pick up and feel to appreciate. Nothing about it stands out on paper, appearance is only so so. In fact I had decided it was probably "a piece of junk". But holding it in my hand working the action and dry firing changed my mind in about 3 seconds. And its different, its got personality, and kind of gives the finger to the many block shaped black pistols. Its got its own style, even if its not your taste you can't take that away from them.

I didn't buy it that day simply because I didn't have the cash. If I had I would have picked it up on the spot.

I carry a Bersa Thunder .380 at times and I must say that Bersa guns do grow on you. They are accurate, dependable, and just nice to shoot. Something about them that feels good when you hold one. Bersa and Ruger are my favorites guns. Also carry the SR9c.

As I said in an earlier post, I have three, BT22, BT32 and BP9cc...must be a message there.

Here's an update on magazines for BT32. I discovered that 32 rounds fit and function perfectly in a 380 magazine. The only trick is you must either press the release when inserting the mag or make a small mod with a file to the tube just above the latch notch. I now have a standard 10 round, 8 round flat bottom and 8 round with pinky extension.

Don't know if I would want mag modifications if it was a carry gun. Hope you shoot a lot of rounds at the range to make sure there are no problems?

Sure did and my BT32 is a CCW. I've put over 100 rounds of Fiocchi 73 gr FMJ, which is both my target and SD ammo, through the flat bottom and pinky bottom mags, which are both 380 tubes and bottoms. To be extra safe I put two mags in each loaded with Gold Dots. Flawless performance.

Thats music to my ears. I should be picking up my layaway Thunder .32 next week. I'm already in the habit of pressing the mag release on all my auto loaders when I insert a reload so that should be no problem at all. Anyone ever try Pro Mags in their Bersa? Even though they look chintzy PM's work flawlessly in my Sig P6 and you can often get them for less than half the price of a Bersa mag.

I picked up a 380 mag at a gun show for $20. There aren't any markings on it at all so I don't know who made it. However, I found a Pro Mag at Academy and they look just alike. This is the mag with pinky extension and works prefect.

I bought a Bersa Thunder 380 yesterday and shot it this morning. I am impressed. Very light recoil, handles good and is accurate.

Bersa and Metro Arms are not related companies. However, in the USA they are both imported by the same company, Eagle Imports. Eagle has done a good job finding 2 companies that offer great value for your dollar. I have many Bersa's and 3 Metro Arms 1911's and I have been extremely pleased with all of them. Quality guns without spending an arm and a leg for them.

My usual carry is usually a Metro Arms Commander or a Bersa BT380 Plus - the Plus has the 15 round mag. Before I "fell" for 1911's my EDC was either a Bersa 9UC or 45UC. All are very reliable and great shooters.

I've had a thunder 380 for several months now. I've fired four different brands of JHP and six types of ball ammution and it has fired it all with 100% reliability and good accuracy. I'm please with it and I often tuck it away when going out and I feel confident that it will work when called upon.

Well you guys have pretty much sold me on this pistol, coupled with the little time I spent with it. I found this very near me I thought I'd post it here to get your opinions on the price. It seems to me to be an excellent price. I'm going after this one probably in the next couple of days.

Its the all black one, third pistol down. $259

Just one question if I may, do all the mags come with the pinky extension only? Or does that include an option for a flat magazine base? I really find the extension useless on most of the other pistols I've used, but it's not a deal breaker for me.

Okay thanks. I actually put the breaks on my plans because now I'm not sure if I want the single stack or the double stack that holds 15 rounds. :? I think I can get away with carry even with the double stack but I'd need to hold it in my hands first before I'm sure. Those seem to be rare where I live, we've got piles of the single stacks though.
