Has anyone owned or now owns a Chiappa 1892 Alaskan Takedown that are imported and distributed by Taylor's Firearms? Would appreciate any comments or experiences you would share. I am especially interested in purchasing one in 45Colt.

Thanks

Looks like a nice rifle. Hickock45 did a review, he liked it a lot. The only complaint I could find was on the .357 rifle, not feeding .38's.

The take down is slick and easy, and it has a loading gate. As oposed to the hole in the magazine tube like the Henry rifles.

I'd also like to have a .45 version. I'm also wondering about Ruger only loads. I found it was designed to shoot the Hornandy leverevolution loads.
