Need help with box and designation of Mark II

I picked this 1990 Mark II up this weekend. It is blued, bull barrel, wearing thumb rest competition grips with the SR in the silver eagle and on the magazine.

Is this just a standard MKII512 with the incorrect grips? Also was would the correct box be fore this year?

looks like a MK512 with the optional laminated thumb rest grips...I recall the yellow.black boxes were used around that time, the plastic cases coming a bit later??? the ones in the yellow one piece fold up boxes, had ONE magazine, the later grey plastic cases came with two mags......after the 1999 50th anniversary model (issue) they started to use the red background silver eagle medallions on the bottoms of the MK II mags........
a check in the RENE may tell you a more precise date for the switch over to plastic cases, possibly around the 218 prefix??? my GUESS...!!
