When you post picures of your collection, KEEP THOSE PICTURES.
Take pictures of the searial number, box, papers and the firearm in question.
Put your ID in the pic as well for proof of ownership.
Have at least 3 copies of every picture. (one on computer, one backup in safe, one backup off site/location
I lost cons. boxes because no proof of condition, My red label box got burnt and waterdammaged when it was put out. I lost the only backup file because it was being used the night before and didn't get put away.
I can not prove some of what I owned because it burnt into a pile and could not prove what it was (stamp collection (stopped collecting late 70's), actual movie posters (had about 30), airline playing cards new in wrapper)
When you buy something new, take pics of the barcode and receipt and send in the warranty card.
So everytime you clean out photobucket and delete something, you are deleteing proof of ownership and that it really was real.
