chet15, I will be contacting you soon. Someone just mentioned the Red Eagle News Exchange to me the other day at a LGS. He wasn't sure if it was still in publication, I will have to go back and tell him it is.

My collection of books on Ruger is getting bigger. Most are published by Blacksmith Books. Most cover the firearms and not much on collectables.
Any suggestions?

FXR, as the above have mentioned the RENE is a good source and older issues of the Ruger Collector Association journals. There a couple of books you should also have one is

Ruger Pistols & Revolvers by John Dougan which talks about both the early Tools and Memorabilia.

Ruger & His Guns by R.L. Wilson talks briefly about the tools but has great pictures with some of them showing early memorabilia.

There is a lot of fake stuff out there that was not authorized by Sturm, Ruger & Co. so get as much info. as you can get.
