Picked up this flatbolt prior to Christmas and finally posting a couple of pictures. According to the latest RENE this would be the 14th one known in 6mm. The person I purchased it from lives approx. 15 miles from me.

Good snag! I have two .308Win three digit rifles and a four digit .243Win. If your 6mm shoots a good as my rifles, you'll be very pleased.

Awesome rifle!!

Mcknight77, just wondering if any of your rifles are in the low 250 S/N range? I have two in that range that don't quite touch and am just wondering if the numbers I am looking for still exist anywhere. Thanks, Mike

Randy, I had planned on bringing it with me new you and Greg would like to see it.

It goes to show they are out there and it surprises me where you find them. Although, this gun found me. :D

It must be lucky to be named Steve! ;-)

I've never even seen a two-digit M77. I do know that the Patato Farmer has several.

Are those all in the same caliber or how did ruger build them?

Marty, yes both of mine are .308Win. Ruger built flatbolts until about 1974 in many calibers. If my memory serves me right about 7000 short-action flatbolts were made and about 2500 long-actions were built.

Interesting how the numbers go and the rare features. I have 326, and it has no bolt guide yet the 145 does. Go figure. Typical. Looking forward to seeing it in Boise.

Correction on the number of flatbolts built. Don't know what I was thinking, but total number was probably over 50K rifles based on Ruger's serial number chart. My bad.

But, to carry this a bit farther. Who has the highest numbered non-prefix flatbolt? I have one in the 1750 range.

Also, who has the highest numbered prefixed flatbolt rifle? I know I have a .250Sav in the 71-02800 range. I'm sure Chad could lend us some expertise on these numbers.

Gee, thanks, that makes much harder...well, I had better get to it

On the "high" number, I can't come close, 70-20XXX is my highest FB, the 326 the "lowest" FB.
