I picked up this a while back and was thinking about having Ruger reblue it. I have been told only about 750 of these were made. Would it kill the value having it reblued?

Looking at the condition of the frame, ejector rod, and front sight, I'd say no. Would also have them replace or provide a replacement front sight if you're going to use it as a shooter.

As a collector it will be deminished, but likely less than as it currently appears condition wise. If you sell, disclose it was reblued by the factory.

That's what I'd do, if it was mine.

if the factory did it, it would come out looking like 'new' replace the ejector housing and the grips would make it even better & nicer........those marks on the cylinder fame look like "pitting' to me ,so would NOT 'clean up ,nor touch up properly........
they built it, they would and do a nice job, after all it is a "new model"....
