A Very Surprising Weekend Colt Find

It's not often you stumble across a Colt Pre-Woodsman in this condition. 1926 vintage and in solid 98% condition. Has the original early two tone magizine, as well as the original main spring housing. Many of the main spring housings were changed to use higher velocity ammo. I asked the owner if he kept this in a time capsule, he said no. Just good stewardship of the family. So now it has a new home and steward to admire and take care of it. It was kept dry, lubed and in a heavy wool sock. Makes me re-think my storage applications!

Yeah Larry, had to go to the Lost Dutchman area (Chandler) for this one. Both of us took our mules half way to way the gold though.
