This is my 10" 357 Blackhawk. It has 6 groove rifling, and some holster wear. I've shot it a few times and it's a fun one to shoot.

AKRay:
Send me a PM on the full sn of your gun so I can add it to my list. Have 132 of the 10" 6-groove recorded now and I'm always happy to add new examples to the list. Have four noted in the 228xx range so there might even be a consecutive number to yours listed there.

AkRay, with the addition of your gun, Bob's List now has ten guns in the 228XX range, eight of which are 10" versions. Unfortunately, we have no consecutive gun . . . but close.

Thanks again for sharing.

This one is probably on the list, but 22801 is a 10-inch Blackhawk .357 that was shipped in July 1959.

I feel very fortunate to have one, too!

What a beautiful gun...especially with the Ruger stag grips....I have never seen one in person...how many were produced and what is the going rate for a collector gun?

I thought your 10" Flattop would probably have an 8 groove barrel just because the serial numbers of our guns are so far apart.

The first "batch" of 6-groove guns runs from about 22500 thru about 31800 (1959-60), while the second "batch" of 8-groove guns runs from about 36000 thru about 37800 (1961) . . . approximately . . . sorta.

Chet15 has better details, but this is what Bob's List indicates from reported guns.

:)
