10" 357 Blackhawk

I have a few of these 10 guns.....22667 and 22668 6 groove along with 37378 and 37379 8 groove.....I have sold 2 6 groove and 2 8 groove guns over the years if my old memory is intact......RR.

You move a lotta neat stuff, Rod, and it's good for the hobby.

Very nice, Mike722! They both appear to be in the same great condition so I assume they've been together for a long time.

actually, they didn't find each other until 18 months ago, when they re-united for the first time since leaving the factory.. :wink:

I don't know but it all seems rather groovy to me..the guns I mean..LOL

Is there any particular significance to whether the barrel is 6 or 8 grooves other than (I believe) the 8 groove barrels are generally on later guns?

Well, the hard line has always been that there are approximately 50 of the 8 groove barrels, thus making that variation more valuable than the 6 groove....... 8)

Not to hijack but does the 8 groove make much difference to my short barrel '61 .357 #35734?

the switch to 8 grooves was around 30xxx plus or minus, the 8 groove 6 1/2" guns are the most common type while the 4 5/8" 8 grooves are a little scarcer... but both 6- and 8-groove 10" guns are scarcer still..
