Good Wood on my 250 Savage

Got a nice piece of Walnut on a NO1 250 Savage, I wish Ruger would pack there Guns a little better 3 of the 4 NO1 250 Savages have dings on the butt Stock included this one.

For what it is worth, one of my two had rings "floating" in the rifle's box, totally detached from their facory packaging. Assumes shock driven handling(dropped/thrown/banged/bumped etc) and ring packaging not adequate to defend against the shipping gorillas. I did not notice damage to my stock. Wood was good on one side and blah on the other, both rifles........... :roll:

Same thing the Ring was floating near the buttpad in three of the boxes, I know it would take Ruger more time to secure the Rings and locks but 50% of the NO1s have something floating. I also got a NO1A 308win a couple of weeks ago with wood better that this one and had a ding in the stock!
