When I verify dates I'll sell or preferably trade it for a short barrel one of the same vintage and shape

If I understand what I read...... :roll:

'late '54 to mid '60 or so. But, I'm no Auto collector.

I'm sure an experienced collector will show up with some better info.

the box you want looks the same but is shorter and has NO barrels marking on the end label , its plain......the first ones were "hinged" the later ones were two piece (telescoping)...............hope this helps

Last 6 inch box like you picture ,we sold at the OGCA for $40, auctions they can run higher,condition is EVERYTHING.....................

The box you picture was used from the time the RST6 was introduced in 1955 clear up to about 1973 or 1974 when the red hinged flimsy box came out.
For the box you are looking for, the hinged box was used to at least 90800 although the two piece type is known as early as 84933.
