Looks like Ruger is auctioning off one of the first unique LCRs we've seen.

If you are into Ruger double action revolvers this may be a real deal, as it started out at $400. Has what's described as a one of a kind carbon fibre camo finish, .38 SPL+P caliber.

Be interesting to see wht kind of collector interest is generated for this next generation of revolver designs, will it be collectable or not. Guess price it sells for will tell us a lot.

Bet Chet15 will be interested, "... serial number 540-98784. The test-fire date of this revolver is February 22, 2011. This engineering prototype has a carbon fiber camo finish. This revolver finish will not be a regular production item..."

Saw that earleier today. Neat I guess as a "we tried' thing but otherwise... Nothing I'd ever buy even were it readily available.

I never got that "faux finish" thing. CF is a structure, not a finish. Kina like a plastic stock printed with wood finish. Still don't get it.
