Well I finaly found an 89- prefix Prescott Az Issue gun NIB!
I've had the Newport NH gun for awhile, but the Prescott gun gave me fits.
I saw two others over the past year but not NIB.
The first 500 guns were never produced so the 89- prefix guns started at
89-00501 and ran up to about 89-03840 before the last 1200 guns were
finished up at the Prescott plant. The only difference being the location
of the Warning Rollmark, left side of barrel vs bottom of the barrel. Ruger
then switched to the 870- prefix for the rest of the .44 Mags.
I have the matched set of Anny guns #870-10599 & 520-10599, so I've
got the .44 Mags complete (for now)
