I have a new in box Ruger #1 in 404 Jeff. with a letter from Ruger on Ruger letterhead that says none were ever produced. I have seen used #1 404's bring as low as $1500.00 and new in box bring as high as $3300.00 all on Gunbroker. I am going to sell this rifle, what is a fair value ? I may just put it on gun broker to find out. Thanks !

Yeah...somebody was a little off at Ruger on the quantity made. Had one ourselves (But Ruger did make a couple M77's in .404 Jeffrey...those apparently never got out).
Anyway, heard that Ruger's production was about 370 rifles in the 1H .404.
But the .404 in the Number 1 is known as one of the better model/caliber combinations to be had.
