I am interested in a book about the history of the Ruger Company and a Encyclopedia their firearms.
Can anyone recommend a good book or two?

Ruger and His Guns by R.L. Wilson (best for history of the company and high level look at their offerings up through 1993)

Ruger Pistols & Revolvers by John Dougan (a more insightful look from a collector perspective)

Encyclopedia of Ruger Rimfire Automatic Pistols 1949-1992 (I usually get that title wrong - it is something like that) by Chad Hiddleson (user chet15 right on this forum)

Join the Red Eagle News Exchange (run by Chad Hiddleson) to get the 2 volume Reference of Ruger Firearms which is THE source for all the minutia of all Ruger firearms and subtle variations over the years.

The R.L. Wilson volume, Ruger and His Guns is without an equal. Within lies many, many wonderful images of so many amazing firearms, both Ruger produced and non-Ruger, that set the stage for the evolution of the Sturm, Ruger & Co.
