Chad,
Thanks!
I'm a little confused - your book mentions 159-93465 as a mismarked GS-32P but not the other two. So -- have we now found 4?
It joins it's sister, 159-87714, a mismarked GS-34H.
We've yet to find the reverse mismark - a GF- (Service Six) mismarked as a
'Speed Six". So far the error is always a GS- (Speed Six) mismarked as a
'Police Service Six" (except for one short barreled Security Six).
The error appears to be spread out over years of production and just in the stainless guns.
One might suggest that Ruger quality control might have let this kind of error out the door
IF the gun was going to a police agency or police supply shop and refused the reverse error. I know that 159-87714 was sold by a shop that catered to police.
By the way, I'm working on getting my hands on 160-56306, a mismarked GS-34HP, one of the two mismarked San Francisco guns.
