The blue one should have the non fluted Mag. cylinder as this change was done in 1975. Most if not just about all of the Stainless Steel "Non Cataloged" 4 5/8 in barreled Single-Sixes had the Mag. cylinder fluted. The 5 1/2 and 6 1/2 in. Stainless Steel Guns came both ways in 1976, both fluted and non fluted Mag. cylinders.
RR My 4 5/8 blue 200 yr. serial number is 64-52407. My 4 5/8 in Stainless Steel 200 th yr. serial number is 64-65074. Are they consecutive to yours!!!
radicalrod said:Well I guess I didn't post the serial numbers....NR4 64-59146 and KNR4 64-65034......the KNR4 was bought on Friday night so I had to pay an up charge of 50 dollars    but I got the NR4 for 25 less than asking price so it all worked out.....first KNR4 I have had the chance to own......maybe I can trade these for some OLD MODELS see ya RR.

It letters as a 1976 KNR5.
But it is in a KNR4 box with the matching SN on the side in grease pen (yellow, I think, but I haven't looked at it in years) that looks just like all the other NM SN writing of that period. Barrel looks perfect, 200th year rollmark is centered, crown looks right.
Just won't letter
