I recently acquired a first year (1972) Ruger Old Army pistol. It appears to be unfired, 7.5", adjustable sights, blue finish. The serial number is quite low, 140-00xxx. I plan to sell this pistol soon, but I have not been able to find one like this to get an idea of its value. You guys have any idea what this one is worth? Is there anything else I should know about it? Oh, there is no box or paperwork; otherwise, it looks brand new.

Thanks in advance.

Nice gun, the flat front sight blade and 3 digit serial number should make it collectible, but there seems not to be a huge base of Old Army collectors. I managed to buy the below consecutive pair of boxed 3 digit guns at a very low price a few years ago and have them valued at $550 each. So with no box, I'd guess $500 give or take.
