OK..you new model experts. Two questions. Is this the factory grips on the Vaq or should it have medallions? Also, what is the "C" suffix in the Cat#? I find no C suffix except for a case colored prototype.

Beaver,
Your gun in question is a KBNV-44X, from what I can find it
was a Special Distributor Models. Serial # range is 57-39079
through 58-48626 which would make this a 2003 production.
Total production was 2,619 - KBNV-44X and 2,534 - KBNV-455X.
For Davidsons.

It is entirely possible (and I believe) that these grips
were as shipped as Rosewood. If you look at the screw hardware it appears to be brass thats a no-no. Maybe Chet15 will be able to help.

I went back and looked at end of the box of the gun in question.
KBNV-44X-C, the C is for Cased not Case Colored.

All info from RENE page 244.

Thanks for the replys. I too thought it should have the rosewood grips lest there would be an I suffix Cat#. I thought I searched Chads reference pretty good for the "C". Cased kinda makes sense although I have other models in that same black box that doesn't have the "C". I'm not a new model expert either Flatgate but I figured some were here.
