Looking for some ideas on how to store any of the case colored revolvers. I understand that they're not case hardened and shouldn't have any solvents applied. I'm more interested in finding out if any oil products are better than others and also if keeping them in the plastic Ruger box poses any problems. This would be in a safe with goldenrod.

Thanks Pete. I've been lurking for quite awhile and have really enjoyed the site. Lots of good info.

Renaissance Wax is used by museums to preserve and protect metal and wood. I have used it successfully on my collection of Ruger, Colt, and Smith & Wesson firearms for many years.

Thanks Bill, I've never heard of Renaissance Wax. I will definitely do some research on that.
