I am looking at this in new condition with box and all papers. My question is this..... The box end does not have a serial number pencilled there. Is that normal?
Thanks, Dave

No laws broken as long as you have prohibited on your license. Owners of prohibited handguns (barrels four inches and shorter) were grandfathered when the legislation came in so we can sill own and buy-sell prohibited. Also included in these are 32 caliber handguns. Their misguided thinking was to eliminate all of the cheap and small handguns. So, when those who are grandfathered die, there will theoretically be no more prohibs. Including Rugers, Colts and Smith&Wesson in this category is plainly stupid but it does serve the anti-gun folks. Our current PC government has done wonders to bring us back to some reality in our gun laws.

yes, one never knows, I can remember many years ago, when a relative (in Quebec) wanted to bring one of his dads guns ,maybe it was two, that Uncle Wm. had brought home to Canada from WWII, I think it was a luger and a P-38 ?? been a while, We had him fill out the form 7 I believe it was, to have it sent to our shop here in Cleveland, and they REFUSED, turned him down, and for the next few years, EVERY time he tried to enter the USA, they literally tore his car apart LOOKING, for either of these guns !!
My bet is he swapped them to the game warden for a lever action 30-30, so they still be up there, somewhere.
Boy are we lucky ( for the most part) here in the states..... 8)

I miss going back to canada, see relatives or even canoe and fish, or even go to the casinos, I refuse to have to get a "pass port" to visit a friendly neighbor..... :(

I don't agree with your thinking about a passport. It was "Homeland Security" who made that mandatory. I believe it has made crossing the border safer and has thwarted some terror minded folks. Don't miss out on the fishing, maple syrup, pea-meal bacon, Canadian ale and your good friends here. A thought!
