Swapping Tang Safety Stocks

Can I put a long action stock on a short action assembly and if I can will accuracy suffer?

Short answer...no. There is a difference in hole spacing where the forward diagonal bedding screw will be in the wrong place.

Well, actually, if you were willing to perform the necessary modifications to the stock, you conceivably could make it work. It would be far from easy, though... Just saying.

I agree with Enigma. So it depends on how badly you want the long action stock. No one could guess at the change in accuracy. It will depend on your gun, your shooting, and the installation of the stock.
