mini 14 slide spring life expectancy?

how often does the slide spring/recoil spring need to be replaced on the Mini 14?
I know I own some pistols that the manufacturer recommended intervals are 5-7 thousand rounds.
what about a rifle?

I contacted Ruger and they said never..........but I'll wait 19 more years and replace them anyways.
I had a Model 60 marlin that every 20 yrs would get new springs. Worked like a champ!
