Where can you buy an inexpensive pin gauge set to check the cylinder throats in my revolvers? Triker

I bought mine on Ebay. McMaster Carr is a good choice. Check with Brownells/Sinclair. I found a complete set for a good price on Ebay.

With McMaster Carr, you can buy the specfic size range.
Plus 1, or two, or ten, or whatever. McMaster offers all the pins needed or desired, without any excess. And they are not expensive.

Simply a word of advice: You only want -(minus) plug gauges, mine are .001. If you want throats to be .430, you want a minus plug that says .430. A .430 gauge can't possibly fit in a .430 hole. The plug will measure .429 for a .430 hole. Confused yet? :)

^Mostly correct. Actually, you probably want class ZZ minus gauges, which will be about 0.0002" smaller than the nominal size and provide a snug sliding fit in a hole of the nominal size. Pin gauges are a simple grinding operation on a piece of hardened steel, buy the cheapest ones you can find on Amazon, eBay, etc. and they should be fine for home shop purposes.
