SP 1011 rear sight help

Asked this in the revolver forum but got no help yet. I have a sp 101 327 3 inch that has the windage only adjustable rear sight. I want to remove it to mount a red dot. How is this done? This is the sight where the small blade sits in a cut in the top strap. A windage adj screw is on the right side of the sight with no other fasteners visible.

I believe you can remove the sight by simply unscrewig the windage screw; however, the screw is probably peened in place to prevent this from happening during normal adjustment, so this may not be as reversible as it would be on models with fully adjustable rear sights.
