Rust bluing a stainless steel revolver?

Anyone ever tried to hot ,Rust, or other Blue a Ruger stainless revolver?
I know there is carbon it , its made of 416 SS.
Was wondering what it would look like?

They have special products for doing stainless but it is not blueing.

we used to offer it years ago, the Dulite process, problem is all too often it comes out about every shade of "dark", except like the factory blued or even the newer "black" finish on Rugers.....remember long ago I did an Old Army, then had a hell of time trying to sell it as it was no longer "stainless", shiny and bright 8) :roll: :wink:

our shop stopped offering it LONG ago, even Walt ( my gunsmith/partner), no longer will do it.............. :(
