I've long wanted to do a Bisley in it, but it's yet to happen. :)

Many years ago I bought a S&W Highway Patrolman to have converted, then for whatever reason I didn't. Did make a Contender barrel in it that I shot a bit, but haven't used it in years. :( I need to remedy that.

Rifle conversions are popular.

I've done a few chamberings in the contenders but in revolvers they quickly suffer from setback.
A variation of the B&D exists that seems to have great success. It's based on the 41mag necked down to 357. Less shoulder to push the case back under firing. Might want to look at that one first.

Have worked with two 357B&D sixguns and neither had ANY setback problems. This is because they were chambered correctly. The RCBS dies worked perfectly.
And so it went...and still goes...

I rechambered one of my Blackhawk cylinders to 357 x 44 Bain & Davis and really like it, you do have to make sure there is no oils in the cylinder or mine will tie up the cylinder but it hasn't done that in the last 20 years of shooting it. I also have a 94 Marlin converted to the B&D and absolutely love it, it chunks the 125 gr jsp/jhp bullets out at around 2300 fps. I have an Encore rifle barrel in it also that is fun to shoot. The round is deceptive with it's small size compared to all the power it pumps out. Any way you can get one to shoot (build/buy or convert) is worth the effort.
I also have a 77/44 converted to 357 x 44 Bain & Davis and that one is my favorite by far.

I have converted a Smith Wesson 27 with the 8 3/8" barrel from 357mag to 357 Bain & Davis. Brass is one pass thru the sizing die to form. If you anneal, the brass life will be better.

I hope to convert a sister 27 revolver with the 3 1/2" barrel this year as a companion piece to the above.

No setback in my revolver yet, using a 158 Nosler bullet and H4227.

Fun stuff. I am not sure why I waited so long..........

so to clarify, is this basically a .357 rechambered with everything else being equal?
