5.56 vs. 223 Remington

Question....can the 5.56 be fired safely in my Ruger America Predator? Thanks, Dave

The differences between the two are the leade and the pressure. The brass itself is interchangeable.

The simple answer to your question is, "What does it say on the barrel?" If it says "5.56 NATO", there's no problem with either. If it says ".223 Rem", then I would suggest you avoid 5.56 NATO ammunition.
